Classic espresso martini
A balanced starting point with vodka, fresh espresso, coffee liqueur, and a small amount of syrup.
Ingredients
- 1½ oz vodka
- 1 oz fresh espresso, cooled briefly
- ¾ oz coffee liqueur
- ¼ oz simple syrup
- Ice
- 3 coffee beans, optional

Method
- Add vodka, espresso, coffee liqueur, and syrup to a shaker filled two-thirds with hard ice.
- Shake firmly for 15–20 seconds, until the shaker is very cold and the drink sounds aerated.
- Double-strain into a chilled coupe. Rest for 20 seconds so the foam settles, then garnish.
